Year in and year out, we market a lot of NGLs. In fact, we have contracts with many producers to market their total annual production. We are a demand aggregator of national scale; our extensive expert sales staff provides reliable supply to an ever-growing customer base of retailers, wholesalers and refiners across the U.S. Along with our affiliate, Inergy Midstream, we also have significant experience in midstream operations as well as strategically located LPG storage.
Inergy’s nationwide transport fleet of nearly 275 trucks is always ready to respond to your NGL transportation needs and to help you find innovative solutions for your transportation challenges. Take for example, a recent scenario that took place in February 2010 in the Marcellus Shale.
Working in the Marcellus can be tough under any conditions. Add nearly 4 feet of ice and snow to the back country roads and the job is nearly impossible.
This winter, when liquids began to appear in the natural gas stream of the wells around Adaline, West Virginia, Inergy Services’ L&L Transportation team quickly devised a way to transport the liquids off site in order to keep the gas stream from shutting down. They equipped small, 4-wheel drive bobtails with chains to navigate the treacherous roads. Then–by positioning one transport truck as temporary storage in Adaline and another as storage in Cameron—the bobtails made as many as 5 to 10 trips a day between the two on the icy, snow-packed roads.
